What it means to be a Pivot Point International member school.

Pivot Point International was founded in Chicago by Leo Passage, a Dutch hairdresser who believed hairdressing should be taught the way architects and designers are taught: see, think, create, adapt. Today Pivot Point educates in more than a dozen languages, and its graduates number in the millions.

Pivot Point Fiji has been a member school since 2003. Our students learn from the same curriculum as students in the United States, Europe and Australia, and sit the same kinds of assessments. Since 2021 they have also used LAB, Pivot Point’s online learning platform, which puts every lesson, video and step-by-step on their phone.

Our links run through Pivot Point Australia and New Zealand, who have supplied curriculum and training since 2007 and still assess our senior students. Wella Professionals has provided technical training to our educators since the school’s early years.

For a student in Lautoka or Suva, the practical result is simple: a qualification that is understood in salons well beyond Fiji.
